Blameronism: A Cause For Complaint

All members of the Labour Party, and indeed all concerned persons, should complain to that Party's Membership Department (join@labour.org.uk) about the existence within it of a separate political organisation, i.e., a party within the Party. I refer to the Blameronite Party (formerly the Blairtilloite Party).

This organisation's existence is now beyond dispute. It has its own source of funds, namely the criminal sale of peerages out of Tony Blair's office. Its members include Louise Bagshawe, who appears on David Cameron's A-list while unable to explain when, how or why she ever left the Labour Party (which she only ever joined because of Tony Blair), leading one to assume that she has not in fact done so at all. And its Publicity Department is briefing furiously in favour of a Cameron victory over Gordon Brown as, to no one's surprise, Blair's preferred outcome to the next General Election, an outcome for which he will undoubtedly vote in the privacy of the polling booth. These are by no means the only examples of proof: there is simply no doubt.

  1. Not that I can tell (and not that it's going to exist in 10 years time, so why care?): I've since had notice of two entirely distinct Labour Party events.

One, a "Young Labour Halloween Party", comes from someone of whom I have never heard and who has no doubt never heard of me beyond my email address. But that cannot be said of Derwentside District Labour Party...

If they should expel anyone, then it is those to whom this post refers (well, and some others at local level here, there being a certain amount of crossover...).

Which part of what I wrote is "nonsense and drivel", and why? It is all a matter of fact, and in the public domain as such.

In particular, on the cash for peerages point, there is only one person in the country really capable of granting a peerage, and I don't mean The Queen. Blair's arrest is now a matter of when rather than if, and of sooner rather than later.

  2. David on the point about Blair wanting Cameron I do supsect it too but there is no evidence at the moment around that I can see. Louise Bagshaw defecting is not big news- if Stephen Byers did yes I'd agree there was something fishy.

  3. But she doesn't appear to have defected: she cannot explain when, why or how she has ever left the Labour Party. It seems that you can be a minor Blair courtier (a category in which I would also include Stephen Byers, by the way) and retain your Party card even if you are on the Cameron Z-list. Will this apply even if she actually becomes a Tory MP?

The briefing by Blair's outriders in favour of Cameron may be read in any newspaper on any day.
