Yes you can. Maundy money is legal tender. It's just that the collector's value is much greater than the face value.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to anyone trying to spend it. Those people from Westminster Abbey yesterday should take their Maundy Money down to King's Cross, pick up a taxi home, and then attempt to pay the driver with it. If they like Scottish bank notes, then they will just love Maundy Money.
