Madness

Even John Humphrys was shocked. Between 95 and 98 per cent of abortions in Britain each year, somewhere around two hundred thousand and including one woman in three at one or more points in her fertile life, are carried out on Ground C, which requires two doctors to certify that the mental health of the mother would be more adversely affected by continuing to birth than by abortion.

How this is either a feminist or a left-wing cause is completely beyond me. It is the age-old use of mental health legislation, obviously in order to control women, and I'd bet you anything you liked in order to control the working classes and ethnic minorities as well.

Seriously, two hundred thousand women per year have that sort of mental health problem? One woman in three will have it at least once in her life? Seriously? Or are we still in the 1970s radical feminist world of pregnancy as a disease and abortion as purgation of the wicked cult of motherhood, so that any woman who does not want to be so purged is, by definition, not in her right mind?
