A Sphinx Without A Riddle

Tony Blair has extremely close ties to the Sisi regime. Is Blair still a Labour Party member? From today, that is a very urgent question.

With all hands to the pumps against ISIS, returnees from which to Britain had done nothing more than join the side favoured by their own Government (but not Parliament) to the point of being armed by it, Al Jazeera is well and truly in from the cold.

Can Press TV, far more unambiguously on what is now the approved side, be far behind?

RT has also always been against our latest enemy. Moreover, it might be on a roll after having broken the blackout of No More Austerity.

That single event had 50,000 participants. The Durham Miners' Gala has twice as many as that every year. It is the largest event of its kind in Europe.

But is it ever on the national news? What do you think?

Something very similar is true of the Tolpuddle Festival.

Next month, the national BBC and ITV will not be at either of them. Nor will Sky. But RT ought to be. In fact, I shall be rather disappointed if it is not.

  1. When is the first conference of the One Nation Society? It's all gone quiet over there.

  3. What is everyone complaining about? The Polish are perfectly right to say no conceivable Polish government (and no German government) would ever agree to end freedom of movement in the EU.

Britain would have to give us a "mountain of gold" as Mr Sikorski rightly says.

Any renegotiation of freedom of movement would require all 27 signatories to agree.

In other words, you'd have more chance of seeing streaky bacon flying in arrow formation over Buckingham Palace.

All those who pretend we can end mass immigration inside the EU-from David Cameron to Mr Denham-are liars.

    We can't.

Anyone who wants to stay in the EU obviously has no objection to mass immigration.

And therefore no objection to low wages, weak unions or a housing crisis.

  4. In the autumn. Precise date to be confirmed.

Banned from what? As on almost any working day, I am sitting at one of the computers of God's Own University at this very moment.

  5. David has not been banned from anything. If you cannot be bothered to engage in argument but just want to abuse David why don't you go and spend sometime in Iraq with a love Tony Blair t shirt.
