So, That's Settled, Then?

Daniel Taub, the Israeli Ambassador to the Court of St James's, affects a vaguely Middle Eastern accent despite having gone to school in Elstree.

In that accent, he told listeners to The World at One that Israeli settlements on the West Bank were all right, because, just as Arabs formed one fifth of the population of Israel, so the settlers would form a corresponding Jewish minority within a future Palestinian State.

He is in Israel at the moment, and clearly speaking with authority.

Gosh.

  1. Pat Glass did not vote to recognise Palestine. Time to pass the hat round among your contacts in the Middle East? You know you are going to go for this seat one day, you know you are going to win when you do.
