From Beirut to al-Baghdadi

In 1983, that well-known lily-livered pinko, Ronald Reagan, withdrew the United States Marines from Lebanon because there was no American interest in which side won the civil war that was then raging there.

The French fought on. But the French had their own reasons to fight on.

Today, there is no American (or, for that matter, British) interest in The War Among The Wahhabi. The United States Marines in al-Baghdadi should be airlifted out forthwith.

That is what the Gipper would have done.
