Occupation? Nun

Baldrick: My father was a nun.
Blackadder: No, he wasn't.
Baldrick: Yes, he was. Whenever he was up in court, the magistrate would say "Occupation?", and he would reply, "Nun."

From memory, I admit.

Cristina Odone makes a valiant effort. But the point would really be made if the Mail were to give a regular column to a nun who was working as a teacher in one of Great Britain's centres of Catholic population.

Of course, it never will.

Check those centres by party colour on the maps of such things, both before and after the forthcoming General Election. They will all be the same colour, and we all know which colour that will be.

There is a reason for that.

  1. Are there any nuns in Stoke? One of them should be writing for the Soaraway Currant Bun. The Nun in the Sun. Not on that page, obviously.

    1. It will never manage that kind of thing while it retains that page.

But have we missed our vocation as redtop editors?
