Funny Bone Idle

Carl Packman touches on something that a lot of us have been thinking for quite some time about British satire.

It is really just the Liberal Establishment laughing at everyone else.

And the people who work for any part of it work for most or all of the others.

They always did, all the way back to the early 1960s, when boys who were in some cases still undergraduates managed to get themselves onto the BBC and thought that that made them subversive.

For nigh on 60 years, we have been told what to think by lower-upper-middle-class Sixth Formers who are nowhere near as clever as they think they are.
