As there emerges by the hour yet more evidence of quite how astonishingly obnoxious Toby Young is, those who want him in office because he is "a conservative" need to ask themselves whether this is the best that conservatism can do. Serious media outlets need to be asked why they ever employed him.
Several Cabinet Ministers need to be asked about the company that they keep. Justine Greening needs to be asked why her Department has anything to do with a man who dresses up as a woman in order to commit sexual assault upon lesbians, of whom Ms Greening is one. Social Services need to be asked why they allow such a man to keep his children, when they take away other people's for far less than even one of Young's countless offences.
And the DUP needs to be asked whether it can support the continuation in office of such a person. Just as the DUP needs to be asked whether it could support a Government headed by one of Young's friends and defenders, Boris Johnson, the brother of the man who appointed him. That potential Prime Minister's adultery resulted in an abortion. Could the DUP support a Government headed by a man like that?
I reckon you are on to something with the DUP where both Toby Young and Boris Johnson are concerned. The point about Justine Greening is also very well made.
