Hot Mettle, Indeed

The remembered Suffragettes would not have enfranchised Brenda Dean, and even in the long term they did not not enfranchise her.

But a fitting tribute to her would be if the apparently inevitable legislation annulling their convictions also annulled all convictions and other adverse court decisions arising out of Clay Cross, Shrewsbury, Wapping, and the three Miners' Strikes since 1970.
